How This Site Works
CheckEverything.at is an independent guide portal for Austria. This page explains our mission, business model, and editorial standards in plain terms. As of July 6, 2026.
In Brief
CheckEverything.at explains how insurance, loans, energy, and tyres work in Austria, and, where relevant, transparently refers readers to vetted partner companies. The site is funded through affiliate commissions and — subject to approval by Google — advertising revenue via Google AdSense.
1. Our Mission
We want to help consumers in Austria make informed decisions about insurance, loans, energy, and mobility. For this, we offer:
- Clear explanations of complex topics
- Decision aids with the key factors
- Vetted references to partner companies for the actual contract sign-up
- Current information from official sources such as FMA, OeNB, E-Control, and AK
2. What We Are (and Are Not)
2.1 We Are a Guide
CheckEverything.at is an editorial website focused on the Austrian market. We create guides, explanations, and market overviews.
2.2 We Are Not a Comparison Portal
Important to understand: We do not run an automated tariff calculator with live prices from multiple providers. For the actual contract sign-up, we refer you to our partner companies, where you can research and decide independently of our recommendation.
3. Our Business Model
CheckEverything.at is funded in two ways:
- Affiliate commissions: We receive a referral commission when you conclude a contract via a labelled link with durchblicker.at, Giromatch AT, Cashper AT, or Reifen.at
- Advertising: We additionally display contextual advertising through Google AdSense once our account is approved by Google
This does not result in any additional costs for you. Details on our partnerships are in our Affiliate Disclosure; details on advertising cookies are in our Cookie Policy.

4.2 What We Do Not Offer
- No advice: We do not replace financial, insurance, or legal advice
- No price calculation: We do not calculate individual premiums or loan instalments
- No paid rankings: We do not sell "test winner" seals or grades
- No guarantees: All information is provided without warranty
5. Our Quality Standards
All content is based on verifiable sources. We use:
- Official Austrian authorities (FMA, OeNB, E-Control, AK, RIS)
- Official statistics (Statistics Austria)
- Industry associations and their figures
- Official information from our partner companies
Details are on our page Our Data Sources.
6. Editorial Independence
Despite affiliate partnerships and advertising:
- Commissions do not influence our editorial decisions
- We also mention providers without a partnership when relevant to the guide
- Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content and labelled
More on this in our Editorial Policy.
