About this site

What is CheckEverything.at?
We're an independent guide site covering insurance, finance, energy and driving in Austria. We're not a price comparison tool and we don't sell policies. We explain how things work so you can decide for yourself.
Who writes these guides?
Articles are written by our in-house editorial team. For legal and pricing details we use public Austrian sources: the FMA (financial regulator), AK (workers' chamber), E-Control (energy regulator), ÖGK (public health insurance), and the RIS legal database. Sources are linked in each article.
How current is the information?
Guides covering laws, taxes or prices are reviewed at least once a year and after any relevant legal change. The 'last updated' date is shown at the top of each article.
Are the articles sponsored?
No. We do use affiliate links to selected partners such as durchblicker.at, Reifen.at and Giromatch, marked as advertising. These links don't influence what we recommend.
How is this different from a comparison portal?
Comparison portals make money by selling leads. We make money from readers who keep coming back. You can't sign a contract here, but you'll know what to look for before you sign one elsewhere.
